Description:
1. Drive process and service improvements, and improve day-to-day operational efficiency.
2. Participate in incident management to resolve outages and communicate with a global audience and participate in calls resolving outage.
3. Develop and maintain a culture of innovation and operational efficiency in the team.
4. Hiring, growing and retaining a Dev Ops engineering team keeping up with the high Amazon bar.
4. This leader will be responsible for continuing to build an extremely high caliber team.
Candidate Profile:
Qualification: B.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience: 2+ years overall development/technical support experience.
Required Skills:
1. Object oriented development experience in C++ and/or Java.
2. Experience in UNIX/Linux operating system.
3. Experience in database architecture and perform SQL queries.
4. Other desired technical skills include Perl, Ruby, Python
5. Proven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues.
6. Candidates with experience in managing large scale highly available distributed system.
7. Understanding and experience working with UNIX/Linux fundamentals, Databases, Java, JavaScript.
8. Strong metrics and operational excellence focus.
